One of the definite advantages the ARVN hold over the NVA and the Vietcong is air supremacy. Thanks to the backing of the Allied Air Force, the airspace over Vietnam is mostly uncontested, with the North Vietnamese air force posing little of a threat and the Vietcong lacking an air force all together. This allows the ARVN's helicopters and aircraft to operate without fear of fighter interception, save for the occasions when MiG-9 fighters manage to break past Allied fighter screens, or in areas where the North Vietnamese have managed to maintain an aerial presence.

The highly favourable air situation in Vietnam has led many within the ranks of the Allies and the ARVN to advocate more emphasis on air power, and some have even called for the complete destruction of North Vietnamese infrastructure through intensive bombing campaigns, though such voices have been moderated by Allied fears of collateral damage.

The ARVN relies on the Allies a lot for air support, often calling in aircraft to bombard known enemy positions. Ordnance varies, but the ARVN favour napalm, with its devastating effects on infantry and structures, as well as its ability to clear out jungle. A few have called the use of napalm inhumane, due to its effects on people, though Allied Command has mostly been willing to turn a blind eye, as long as the ARVN doesn't try to carpet bomb any villages in napalm.

Napalm Strike

A Reservist Hawker is sent to the target area. It then releases Napalm to the area below it, utterly annihilating enemy infantry and foliage in the target area. Recharges every three minutes.
