Hm, it's somewhat lacking
This article (Nanocore), or a section of this article, is a stub and thus shorter than the author expected. Due to the method that everything is written for Paradox, pages can get forgotten, inspiration can be lost, and writers can get lazy. In any case, on this page more could be added later. |

"Wall Core, ready."
- - Popular joke amongst Imperial engineers
Tactical Analysis[]
- Always ready: Nanocores can be constructed at the Construction Yard at any time as long as funds are available. Of course, the higher cores become available with the help of other structures.
- Always prepared: Each Nanocore carries the raw materials in the form of nanogel and digital blueprints for its specific task. Accompanying that, each Nanocore has a holographic display to show what it is supposed to construct.
- Always amphibious: All Nanocores are made amphibious and while they are not the fastest, they are still fast enough to reach their construction sites anywhere quickly and set up on land and water alike.
- Always fragile: Nanocores are unarmed and not really armoured, so sending them alone into the open is very dangerous. Make sure to escort them.
Background[]
The Nanocore is the backbone of the Imperial Army. They are used to construct all buildings and defences of the Empire, as well as a handful of prototype units, such as the failed Giga Fortress. The Nanocore is reasonably fast but as a trade off, the armour is equal to a sheet of paper. All of them are amphibious and most can deploy on land or water alike. All Nanocores also have a holographic projector that shows what the Nanocore will unfurl into.
Nanocores are also quite costly, with the more expensive ones costing well over two thousand credits each while others cost anywhere from five hundred credits to eight hundred credits, depending on what they are supposed to produce. The most expensive one ever produced was the Giga Fortress core, costing a whopping 6300 credits. This is one of the many reasons why the Giga Fortress project was stopped.
All Nanocores are produced from the Construction Yard and unlike the Allied Nations or Soviet Union, these cores can deploy anywhere making rapid deployment over wide areas easy and thus allow the Empire to expand rapidly. While the Nanocore is mobile, it has no defences and therefore it is recommended for all Imperial commanders to defend them with an escort to prevent costly losses. While deploying, a Nanocore is still defenceless and vulnerable, and depending on the structure, it can take a lot of time to finish construction.
Behind the Scenes[]
- The SDK and code refer to Nanocores as "eggs".
