Rejected, but not forgotten

This article (Cyborg Fallen), is about a unit, building or other aspect that has been cut or changed significantly in the game or lore.

Still, lore is a terrible thing to waste, so instead of deleting it, Team Paradox decided to preserve it for all to see. It is, of course, not canon, and not applicable for the game.

After the assassination of one of the Cult’s head priests in Yugoslavia in 1965, the Inner Circle began to discuss how to guarantee there will not be any future losses of key members to the Order of the Talon. Many attempts to achieve this goal failed miserably. Eventually someone would suggest combining a human body with artificial components in a way that could be similar to the Mediterranean Syndicate's battlesuits. The Inner Circle approved of the concept and sent agents to Russia to seek the scientists which were responsible for creation of the first cyborgs in human history, Volkov and Chitzkoi. Their mission was successful and the scientists were taken to Sarajevo where they started their work on making a new generation of Homo Sapiens.

After months of hard work, the scientists unveiled the first mechanical warriors of the Cult, named Cyborg Fallen. As the name implies, these machines were previously heavily injured veteran Acolytes, on the brink of death, mounted into large and heavy exoskeleton. They appear to be a cage, imprisoning the individual between two long metallic arms and short skeletal legs. The design was intended to provide as much maneuverability as possible, so the operator could easily close the distance between him and his foe.

Its two artificial arms gave the Fallen such brutal force that even Order’s tanks were vulnerable before their wrath. If the enemy were to resort to infantry, the Acolyte can make use of its frightening array of six .50 cal machine guns, which were unfortunately highly inaccurate, but able to saturate a wide area with fire. The only weakness the Cyborg has is its poor armour. When the enemy is in faces a Cyborg on even ground, the Cyborg can easily destroy him, but if the enemy were to take advantage of the exoskeleton's limitations, then a simple flanking maneuver is all that is needed for the Cult of the Black Hand to lose one of its most notable warriors...again.

Behind the Scenes Edit

The Cyborg Fallen was suggested by V.Metalic, based on the Forgotten Ironback from CnC4 and Dreadnought from Warhammer 40,000 series. It was once supposed to be in game, but was sheared off when the Black Hand were reorganised.
